The next mini-project (while we wait for the cabinets) is to complete the upstairs bathroom. Everything was ripped out from it before working on the flooring upstairs.
The first phase of the bathroom to install is the bathtub, since it's exactly the width of the wall and is in the very back. We found this gem of a tub at Home Depot on clearance (~70% off) due to it not selling (it's 36" wide and gray) -- a Kohler cast iron with porcelain glaze. It's very heavy (330 lbs)! Before installing the bathtub, Tim installed a new pressure-balancing faucet valve.
The second phase was to install the tile (up to the bathtub, that's why it had to be installed first). |
