Tim lays the mortar in preparation for the next rows of tile. Being that they are 2" tiles, they come in 12"x12" sheets (6x6). The floor was quite unlevel, but there's not much you can do without affecting the door jamb in some way and it's not really worth the hassle. Smaller tiles lay easier across uneven surfaces anyway.
