These are the plans for the kitchen that we will be ordering in the next one or two days. We did some shopping around, and found that for our relatively simple needs, Home Valu was the best.. well, value.

The cabinets will be oak with a "wheat" (medium) stain and full height (to the ceiling), with small moulding on top. The countertop will be beige with a beveled wood-stained edge that match the floor and cabinets, respectively. Note that some drawings show an arch on the top of some island cabinets.. they'll actually be straight across like the base cabinets. (The upper cabinets of the main 'L' will be arched, though.)

We're really excited about them!

update (10/17/2002 @ 9:45pm): We just ordered the cabinets! They'll be ready in about three weeks -- we'll find out an exact date in a couple of days. Also, we got a kitchen faucet on clearance, and ordered the sink base for upstairs that exactly matches the kitchen, and it's a very reasonable price (better than Home Depot, actually)!
