We started running wires today -- the RG6 (coaxial, for TV) and Cat-5e (8-conductor, for computer LAN connections, and phone).

We're basically running one RG6 (black) cable, and three Cat-5e (blue) cables to each room (bedroom, living room, kitchen -- not the bathroom, though). Two of the Cat-5e cables will be for computer connections, and the third will be used as a phone jack (with the possibility of converting it to a third LAN jack if we wanted to).

Bobby (Tim's roommate through most of college) came over to check out the place and ended up helping us run the wire while we shot the breeze. There were actually many visitors today: Caryn (Tim's sister), Scott, his friend Ryan, Peter & Joy (Anne's parents), and Bobby.
